Star Rise BOM: Ohio Star

Welcome to month 5 of the Star Rise BOM. This month, we're making the Ohio Star. It was a nice change to work on some quarter-square triangles this month. I love the dark navy against the white background.

The Ohio Star has a rich history, including being used in quilts during the American Civil War for wayfinding for enslaved people making their way north. It could also indicate a safe place for resting on their journey.

If you want to make a Star Rise of you're own, you can still join us! You'll get immediate access to all the planning documents and every pattern released so far. We also get together on Zoom once a month to share our wins and do a Q&A session. We’d love to see you there.

Keep learning
